Our counselling service provides a safe, confidential and supportive space where carers can talk openly about their experiences and receive emotional support.
Supporting a loved one affected by addiction can place enormous emotional pressure on families. Many parents and carers experience stress, anxiety, sadness and feelings of isolation while trying to cope with difficult and uncertain situations.
Our charities counselling service is available for:
parents, carers & family members affected by a loved one’s addiction
individuals experiencing emotional stress, cohesive abuse, anxiety linked to addiction within the family
Our private counselling service is available for:
adults affected with a range of issues outside our charities criteria of parents or carers affected by a loved one’s addiction
individuals experiencing a wide range of issues including, anxiety, low self-esteem, bereavement, loss, trauma, stress, depression, abuse, relationship and family issues
Counselling can help you:
talk openly in a safe and non-judgemental environment
manage stress, anxiety and emotional strain
understand and cope with the impact addiction can have on family life
develop coping strategies and resilience
improve your own wellbeing while supporting a loved one
We aim to make counselling as accessible as possible and offer different options depending on individual circumstances.
Where funding allows, we provide free counselling sessions for carers who may not otherwise be able to access support.
Some sessions may be part-funded, meaning a small contribution helps support the service.
Private counselling sessions are also available at competitive rates, for those who would like additional support but do not meet our charities criteria.
